Power cleaner vs pressure washer: what cordless units are for
The cordless picks here list 320 to 600 PSI and 0.2 to 1.0 GPM. The corded electric picks list 1,500 PSI and up, and the gas picks 2,900 PSI and up. So think of these as rinse and light-cleaning tools, not driveway machines. Use the lowest pressure that does the job.
Water source: hose, bucket or tank
Ryobi says the RY120350 works from its included 20 ft siphon hose, a 2-liter bottle adaptor or a garden hose. Ryobi states the same three options (included 20 ft siphon hose, 2-liter bottle adaptor or garden hose) for the RY121850. Worx includes a 20 ft draw hose with the WG644. The DeWalt record for the DCPW550B and the Greenworks manual record for the PC24B220CO don't cover water source, so check the listing.
Battery platform and run time
Platforms are as each maker lists them: DeWalt 20V MAX, Worx 40V (2 x 20V Power Share), Ryobi 18V ONE+ and Greenworks 24V. The maker pages we used don't give run times, so check the listing.
What's the difference between a power cleaner and a pressure washer?
Cordless power cleaners list lower PSI and GPM than corded or gas machines: 320 to 600 PSI here, against 1,500 PSI and up for the corded picks. Compare the listed figures. They suit rinsing and light cleaning.
Can a cordless pressure washer use water from a bucket?
Some can. Check that the manufacturer lists bucket or siphon use and includes the hose. Ryobi lists a 20 ft siphon hose for the RY120350, and Worx a 20 ft draw hose for the WG644.
Is the battery included with a cordless pressure washer?
It varies; bare-tool listings don't include one. DeWalt sells the DCPW550B as tool only, and Ryobi sells the RY120350's battery separately. The RY121850 and PC24B220CO listings include a battery, as listed. Check the listing before you buy.
